Western Sydney Gonski supporters "photo bombed" the ABC coverage of the third leadership debate.

Teachers from multiple teacher associations gathered outside the third election debate at Rooty Hill to remind Tony Abbott that schools funding was not a dead issue in western Sydney.

Those gathered were frustrated that schools funding reform had not featured in previous debates and that Mr Abbott was successfully evading questions about his plan to strip over $7 billion from the legislated six-year Gonski plan.

Teachers provided a backdrop of Gonski green when Mr Abbott's motorcade was ushered through the car park to the rear entrance of the RSL club. The union’s corflute signs advertising the Gonski schools funding message, "Gonski: Our children are worth it," made it on to ABC TV’s broadcast.
