Wollongong TAFE students and teachers participated in the Stop TAFE Cuts campaign on National TAFE Day, June 3.

The Wollongong branch of the TAFE Teachers Association branch put on a sausage sizzle for students. They were given leaflets urging them to ‘tweet for TAFE’ and sign up to the Australia Education Union’s website stoptafecuts.com.au.

National TAFE Day also celebrated the importance of TAFE to local communities, industry and students, and the importance of quality publicly funded, publicly provided technical and further education — TAFE.
