A video acclaiming the role of teachers, under the premise that teachers do “one of the most important jobs in the world”, has been launched by Teachers Mutual Bank.

Based around the theme “the feeling’s mutual”, and filmed using real-life school teachers and students, the video focuses on the values that are shared by both teachers and Teachers Mutual Bank.

Teachers Mutual Bank chief executive officer Steve James said: “We believe that teachers do one of the most important jobs in the world, helping to create and shape future generations.”

“Many teachers have similar values and ideals, and that’s part of what makes teaching such a calling, capable of shaping lives for the better,” he said

“We created this video to express our support for the dedication, commitment, knowledge and tenacity of teachers.”

The video, featuring real life working teachers at their jobs and with students, is accompanied by a voiceover that describes what is at the heart and reality of teaching.

“As a bank built by teachers, for the mutual benefit of teachers and the wider education community, this video is our tribute to the teaching profession. We hope they’ll share it with each other,” Mr James said.
