CPL K-12 Multicultural Education and Social Inclusion Conference

The K-12 Multicultural Education and Social Inclusion Conference is a major conference for teachers and educational leaders in school communities implementing the DoE Multicultural Education Policy, including Anti - Racism and English as an Additional Language/Dialect (EAL/D).

Teachers and educational leaders in schools will partner with academics to explore theory, current research and the practical implications for pedagogy and whole school organisation as related to Multicultural Education. Presenters will also expand on current projects and ideas that have been successfully applied in school settings, both primary and secondary. They will explore the themes of cultural diversity in schools, anti–racism, social and cultural insights for teachers, EAL/D pedagogy and curriculum.

Registrations for this conference are now open and all financial members of the NSW Teachers Federation are eligible to apply to attend CPL courses and conferences. The fee for the conference is $200. Relief costs need to be met by your school.

Completing a K-12 Multicultural and Social Inclusion Conference will contribute 5 hours of QTC Registered PD addressing: 1.3.2, 4.1.2, 4.4.2, 6.2.2, 7.2.2 for the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.

The Conference will be held in the Auditorium of the NSW Teachers Federation, 37 Reservoir Street, Surry Hills
