ARTEXPRESS is again exhibiting exemplary artworks created by NSW visual art students for the Higher School Certificate examination.

Just over 240 works of art have been chosen for display from more than 9000 works submitted for marking in the 2015 HSC.

The works represent a range of subjects in a variety of styles and media. These include including painting, photo-media, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, graphic design, documented forms, textiles and fibre, ceramics, time-based forms and collections of works. Pieces incorporated recycled items, such as suitcases and drain grills to the more traditional media of paper, canvas and clay.

The opening of the exhibition at Hazelhurst Regional Gallery in Gymea featured students from local and regional public high schools. The talented artists were on hand to discuss their artwork, how they developed their style and from where they drew their inspiration.

Metropolitan and regional exhibitions are being held around NSW. Information about venues and dates can be found here.
