Teachers, pupils and parents were the recipients of awards from Education Minister Adrian Piccoli and Department of Education Secretary Dr Michelle Bruniges at Parliament House on September 15.
The awards night recognises excellence in teaching and student achievement by those attending and working in public schools across NSW.
”Acknowledging the achievements of our outstanding teachers and students affirms the high standard we have in our public schools,” Minister Piccoli said.
The Public School Parent of the Year Award was also presented to parents, guardians and caregivers who have made a significant contribution to their local public school community.
The awards night has been held annually since 1989 and is administered by the Public Education Foundation. Former Premier of NSW, Nathan Rees is the Chief Executive of the foundation.
