The current phase of the Gonski campaign is building towards National Gonski Week, commencing on October 26.
Federation President Maurie Mulheron said the Gonski funding model was arguably the most important piece of social reform of the last 30 years.
“Already, in schools across NSW, the additional needs-based funding is having a positive impact, but it is at risk,” he said.
“This new era in schools funding could be terminated abruptly at the end of 2017, well short of the six years needed to bring all schools up to a minimum schooling resource standard, unless we can convince the Federal Government to honour the NSW Agreement.”
The telling of Gonski good news stories is a powerful campaigning tool.
