Video statements about why quality education is important are sought by the Education International for its Unite for Quality Education campaign.
The campaign demands that quality education for all remains at the top of the agenda for a sustainable, peaceful and prosperous future, Australian Education Union Deputy Federal President Correna Haythorpe told Federation’s Annual Conference on June 30.
“The campaign provides a highly visible platform to lobby the world’s politicians and key decision makers to take action on … the three pillars of quality education: quality teaching and quality learning environments, and to treat teachers as respected professionals with the training and support that they need,” Ms Haythorpe said.
She said Education International was looking for millions of video statements and encouraged teachers to visit the campaign website. She also asked that people promote the campaign via social media.
